“Norway's legendary electric/acoustic folk-rock band from 1974, strongly influenced by Fairport Convention — and with some magical vibes appealing to fans of Spriguns and Steeleye Span as well. The LP was originally released by Philips in 1974. Excellent versions of some familiar tunes and stories and very nicely arranged. An interesting mix of British, Breton, Scandinavian and other elements, therefore not simply a straightforward imitation of British folk. I also think the singer has a wonderful voice, really strong, clear and attractive. If you like Fairport Convention, it is very likely you'll enjoy this as well. They do similar songs, have predominately female vocals, and have a comparable overall mood to their sound (not quite dark, but still somewhat serious). They're a bit more traditional than Fairport, mind you.”
