For my money, the original line-up of Guru Guru (as represented above) was one of the greatest power trios ever. Imagine the furthest out that a power trio could've gone at this time and with the equipment available, and you have Guru Guru as heard here. Fantastic interplay and solid playing from all.
This is the famous and famously GREAT, excellently recorded (for the time period) Radio Bremen radio broadcast from Gymnasium Leibniizplatz on September 21, 1971. This broadcast dates from just after their second album had been released.
1/3rd of this originally appeared on the United Dairies lp release by Uli Trepte and Guru Guru, "Hot on Spot/Inbetween" and then 2/3rds of this previously appeared on the Spalax CD, "Live 1972 / Conny Plank Sessions 1974". But here is the entire show and from a significantly better copy of the tapes. This is three 20' long tracks: Der LSD Marsch, Bo Diddley and Spaceship.
Highly recommended; the best live representation of the mighty Guru during their prime period and one of their best performances ever - as great or greater than some of the studio work of the same period.
