Isobar are a very good instrumental progressive rock band/project from San Jose California.
While they don’t sound ‘like’ Gentle Giant, you can definitely hear Giant as an influence, especially in terms of counterpoint and general complexity, just as you can with Miriodor, even though they also don’t sound ‘like’ Giant. And come to think of it, comparisons to some aspects of Miriodor are also not unwarrented.
