Hailing from the unlikely location of Fort Worth, Texas, this ‘jazz’ band put out one album (a second one was recorded, but never released) in 1981 and it’s a stunner.
Main composer Joe Rogers’ tunes are memorable and straight out of the Canterbury style (although it has never been totally proven one way or the other if Joe was aware of the Canterbury scene, or if that’s just how his electric jazz/rock sound came out.
In any event, this isn’t the second coming of Hatfield and the North, but at times it is surprisingly reminiscent of The Muffins. If you like this sound, you can’t miss with this one.
