Enrico Rava - trumpet
John Abercrombie - electric guitar
Bruce Johnson - electric bass
Chip 'Superfly' White - drums
Excellent 1973 album under the leadership of Rava, but with strong contributions from John Abercrombie, who is definitely channeling his ‘Inner Mounting Flame’ here and is killing it.
This is the first time it’s been reissued since the 80s and the first time it has ever appeared on CD!

“Extremely tasty, especially in the more hectic free jazz trumpet/guitar phrasings, as well as the "ambient" spacy sections. The recurrent theme of Cheerin Cherry has indeed a "cherrian" echo, but it's mixed with jarring guitar/trumpet outbreaks under a thick, tribal-like rhythm section: it's very interesting. Overall I think this is a pretty solid and remarkable addition to the avant garde jazz fusion canon.”-rateyourmusic
