Rodriguez, Victor - Fragmentos de la Torre CD

SKU VE-E 001
“Structures, bony traps. A vertical cemetery that cracks the sky. 24 hours in the great city tattooed into 12 orchestral dissections.”

Victor Rodriguez is the keyboardist and co-composer for Spain’s October Equus. ‘Fragments From The Tower’ is his first solo album and lurks somewhere between contemporary composition and RIO / avant progressive rock.

“Fragments from the Tower is a conceptual work about contemporary urban life. A sonic journey through the odd hours of the day, where orchestra blends with electronic textures, industrial noise and fragmented narratives forms. Influenced by 20th-century classical music and Rock in Opposition, the album is composed, and performed by Víctor Rodríguez.
For fans of: Univers Zero, Art Zoyd, Henry Cow, Stravinsky, Bartok.”

“Victor Rodriguez's brand-new release is a MASTERPIECE. It has symphonic music, with brilliant parts that sound like avant-garde Prog/Jazz. Imagine, if you will, walking in the Guggenheim Museum, or Louve, and discovering paintings that are musical. That is what this incredible CD sounds like. A stone-cold masterpiece.” - David Freshman
