“This is the second collection of rare singles from the label that produced the cream of the mid-sixties crop of Canadian garage, punk and psychedelic music!
Gaiety Records artists were mainly from Canada's three prairie provinces, and from the northern Ontario "Lakehead" region where the label was based.
Many of the recordings that Gaiety Records made were directly licensed to slightly bigger Canadian labels like Reo Records and Quality, rather than appearing on the Gaiety label itself. Of the artists on this set, only The Checkerlads seem to have been issued on the actual Gaiety label.” - rym
