Vespero are an awesomely great, instrumental space rock band from Astrakhan, south Russia, that are fully the equal of anyone working in the vein. They have a lot of albums out, but this live that was recorded May 15, 2015, is the earliest one I've been able to source and carry. Released in a limited edition of only 300 in a 4-panel folder, this is stunningly good modern space rock with psychedelic and ethnic influences.
Do you like Ozrics, Hidria Spacefolk, Korai Oram and Øresund Space Collective? You do? Meet your new favorite band!
"... With Azmari: Abyssinian Liventure, Vespero make clear that they can convey the quality of their studio albums on stage, which is quite reasonable if we take into account the improvisational nature of their music. The six-member band (plus Pavel Alekseev on sax) is in top form and their bond seems to stem from a spiritual connection between the members which cannot be simply mastered after many rehearsals..."-progrocks
