Ancestral Homeland is their first domestic release and it features the original line-up of Campbell (trumpet, flute, and percussion), William Parker (bass, percussion) and Zen Matsuura (drums). The music of this group is based on the music of the world, both composed and improvised. By encompassing African, Native American and jazz structures, the music transcends styles by freely shifting between percussion jams, beautiful melodies and improvised jazz.“
