For many years Posidon Productions has brought bands to play in Japan. Now they have started a label to bring out some of the many great bands playing progressive oriented music in Japan. Head Pop Up are an progressive rock band with fusion overtones. The line up is dual keyboardists (both of whom favor piano and organ sounds, one of whom also plays accordion and both of whom sing), guitar, bass and drums. Their music is complex and intricate. Some of this is obviously of Japanese origin stylistically, and other tracks are a fusion of various European progressive styles. Very limited edition; only 500 copies have been made.
