Like Deuter, Manuel Gottsching and some others, Iasos is one of the founding fathers of new age, but his music predates that movement and much of his best work came out before that movement hit full force in the 80s.
His music uses echoing electric guitars, flutes, synths and primitive electronics, and the music has a lot of parallels to some of the best 'proto-new age, but not new age' music like Franco Falsini's Cold Noise/Nasso Freddo and Evening Star by Fripp/Eno.
This is a collection of some of his best/most psychedelic/druggiest work and it also includes a biography.
