Rempis Percussion Quartet - Montreal Parade

Tim Daisy (drums), Ingebrigt Haker Flaten (bass), Dave Rempis (alto / tenor / baritone saxes), Frank Rosaly (drums).
I've seen this great band (although before Ingebright joined) and they totally slayed. Rempis remains a great, still undervalued figure in contemporary jazz.
"The critically-acclaimed Rempis Percussion Quartet returns with a studio session powered as always by Tim Daisy and Frank Rosaly, and now featuring the incredible Ingebrigt Håker Flaten on bass."
"Rempis benefits hugely from the drummers' constant motion and variation, as they roll from high-velocity swing to abstract funk to stuttering shuffles to hydroplaning cymbal scrapes without a hiccup - they give him the freedom to unfurl his rangy lines in any direction he can imagine... Rempis is already a respected and valuable figure in Chicago jazz, but Montreal Parade makes a case that he's still underrated." — Peter Margasak, The Chicago Reader
"Straddling the line between unfettered freedom and the traditional conventions of implied structure... Montreal Parade demonstrates the continuing validity of their freewheeling approach with compelling fervor." — Troy Collins, All About Jazz
