This CD collection, curated by Michele Gala and Association Taranta, is a wonderful musical journey in the dances and songs tradition of Italy. All the CDs are field recordings, often recorded during actual events (feasts, carnivals, processions). These materials are among the last documents available of disappearing memories and musical techniques: sounds tied to old suggestions and knowledge of instruments and cultures of the various Italian regions.
