"The first collaborative work by Marc Barreca and K. Leimer since Savant. A hybridization of Barreca's "Tremble" and Leimer's "Permissions", Premap's 13 tracks coalesced from a huge number of individual sources, each produced as discrete, stand-alone passages and then layered, reconfigured, processed and mixed into perpetually shifting pieces. An exquisite corpse of sound, these dense, restless pieces take shape, shift and change in almost constant motion. Implied structures evolve in a complex soundstage, making labels like "ambient" impossible to apply."
