This is a beautiful reproduction of the strikingly amazing-looking first edition of the first Faust album. A clear disc inside a clear sleeve with a silkscreen, as well as a clear insert with print! Nothing like this was ever seen before Faust did it; as a English friend of a friend once said when talking about iconic avant-garde releases, "Faust was FIRST, mate!"

"Legendary German post-rock band formed in 1971 by undisputed noise pioneer Uwe Nettelbeck, [fact check - at least 3 wrong statements these first 13 words!] in Faust garnered an immediate following due to its artistically extreme experimentations with music cut ups and other mixed sources hinging on cacophony and distortion. Don't miss their 1971 cult classic debut, now reissued with its original clear printed sleeve on 180 gram clear vinyl."

The classic 1st album by Faust. Upon its release in 1971, it really looked and SOUNDED like nothing else. Intelligent and crafty use of the studio in a way that no one else in rock other than Frank Zappa was doing (and it sounds nothing like The Mothers).
While I actually *enjoy* some of their other works more, none of their other albums were as radical and shocked the scene as much as this one. As the man in England who owns the label would say, "recommended!"
