"Life Carries Me This Way is pianist/composer Myra Melford’s first solo piano recording, featuring original compositions inspired by the artwork of her friend, the late Sacramento-based artist Don Reich (1931–2010). The project was entirely recorded, mixed, and mastered at Firehouse 12 Studios in New Haven, CT by owner and chief engineer Nick Lloyd. The CD package contains a 16-page booklet that includes full color-photographs of Don Reich’s artwork as well as notes by Melford and Charles Johnson."
