Recorded October 11, 1975 at Nottingham University, this is a REALLY, REALLY good release from a period in the band's career that is not nearly as well documented as the earlier years and from the last tour to feature founding member Mike Ratledge

"Once again, Major League Promotions amaze us with a previously unheard soundboard recording from a badly documented period in Soft Machine's career... Well, actually, live recordings from 1975 onwards are very few. This concert took place a few months after John Etheridge had replaced Allan Holdsworth, and as could be expected Bundles still provides the bulk of the setlist. This is the Softs at their fusion peak.
In addition to that you get early versions from Softs tracks like "Out Of Season", "Ban-Ban Caliban" and "Song Of Aeolus", plus jams (the CD closes with an intense 14-minute collective improv) and solos.
Founding member Mike Ratledge had left by the time the band recorded that album, so it's great to hear these pieces performed by the dual-keyboard line-up. On a side note, it is worth mentioning that [this] come with a booklet of notes (some from the musicians) and unseen photos. Great!"-Aymeric Leroy

“First of all, the recording quality is great. The playing is top notch. Etheridge puts on really good interpretation of the bundles songs. The musicians sound very inspired throughout the whole set. I was frustrated that there were no live recording from that period and finally i got exactly what i hoped for. “-A. Rodkin
