“Celtic 60s folk-psych, singer/songwriter cult hero, sings & plays guitar with incredible angst, passion, intensity and anguish.
On the slightly more psychedelic-influenced front, there are some similarities to Donovan and (more distantly) Syd Barrett. Trance-like raga-rock elements make themselves heard on 'The Sailor and Madonna' and ‘Yorric,' with their sitar, tabla, and zigzagging flute. Some tracks with ethno-psychedelic sitar sounds other with heavy bass, drums, electric guitar.
This CD version adds two songs from a 1966 demo as bonus tracks.”

I've had this CD for years, and it surely meets with all the claims in the write-up. It's great psych Folk ,and the best this man produced too! It's not as "hippie dippy" as Donovan , more down to earth and tripped out. A one of a kind wonder. IMO
