Comprised of 15 concise explorations, this recording is self-consciously less reed-centric and more "experimental" sounding than their previous offerings. From the relentless rumbling and the searing metallic distortion of "Incinerator" this recording is fully a collaborative effort. On "Cracked Open" Gjerstad's saxophone squeals while Norton and Watson create a shimmering foreground.
