Treminhao is a classic trio from Recife, in north-east Brazil, with guitar, bass and drums, but with several guests on instruments like guitar and also on local, regional instruments such as rabeca (Brazilian fiddle), zabumba and triangulo (Brazilian percussion). The music varies between folk Brazilian music (forr and baio) and powerful jazz-rock. If you are tired Holdsworth and Tribal Tech clones, but would like a nice and fresh jazz-rock with a definite Brazilian slant, you should try this band.
