Well, here’s a name I never expected to type out again!
In the early to mid 1980s, Zut Un Feu Rouge were definitely one of Sweden's best avant/progressive/out rock bands, with musical ties to groups like Etron Fou and Debile Menthol; bands that took the some of the energy of rock and new-wave and tied it to 'progressive' forms.
A five piece who used reeds, guitar, violin, keyboards, bass and drums, as well as vocals, the band managed to release a cassete, an EP and an lp on the always interesting Bauta label.

“In 2010 the band returned to live performances and began song writing for a new LP album. This record is the band’s fourth, but the first in 34 years with new songs. On the vinyl release the members trace their youth and the mythology of the past. Optimism is mixed with fear, cold war and neighbourhood adventures. While the lyrics are historically and geographically diverse, the music is a pick up sticks game with rock, pop, jazz, folk and art music.”
