Arnold, Horacee - Tribe / Tales Of The Exonerated Flea 2 x CDs (Mega Blowout Sale)

SKU 15-MIG 80102
For fans of early / mid 70s jazz/electric jazz, this set represents the best bargain in our entire inventory. Hugely recommended!
Horacee is a drummer and bandleader who released these two fine albums in the early 70s. Both are minor classics, imo and are presented here in complete form!
Tribes was originally released in 1972 and the first of his albums on Columbia. This is a very good album, although it should be mentioned that unlike his second release, Tales of the Exonerated Flea, this is more of a jazz album than a jazz/rock album. It's got a great cast: Horacee Arnold-drums, Joe Farrell-flutes, soprano sax, Ralph Towner-12-string guitar, Billy Harper-tenor sax, David Friedman-mallet percussion, George Mraz-bass and Ralph MacDonald-Latin percussion.
Tales Of The Exonerated Flea is a rather fantastic and also rather obscure 1974 fusion album that slipped by unnoticed at the time. Horacee plays drums and is joined by a huge cast of fusion and jazz allstars, like Jan Hammer-Moog, pianos (Jan is all over the album, playing great lines) Rick Laird-bass, David Friedman-vibes, Ralph Towner-12 string guitar, Dom Um Romao-percussion, Art Webb-flutes, Sonny Fortune-saxes, John Abercrombie-electric guitar, etc.
Fusion fans should run-not-walk for this one.
