I'd heard that these three master players were all working together and finally, this is the recorded evidence.
What can you say about these three: Evan is a member of Bang On A Can and a master clarinetist. Gyan, the son of Terry, is a stupendous acoustic guitarist who is making his own name for himself away from the work of his famous father. And, of course, Iva, one of the great artists/performers/vocalists of new music, who challenges and charms with her great talent. I've been a huge fan of her work since I saw her in the mid/late 80s and I know that many others who read this share my enthusiasm for her work.
This is an extremely dynamic and well recorded live album. Nice to finally have something by this trio that you can listen to in your home!
