Hawkwind moves into a slightly more, uh, "progressive" direction with the addition of violinist/keyboardist Simon House. Oh there's still plenty of heavy rocking thud (notably in the form of Psychedelic Warlods, It's So Easy and Lemmy's contribution, Lost Johnny), but you also get the great instrumental title track, as well as Web Weaver (which sounds like a country hoedown in outer space) and Winds Of Change, amongst other fine highlights. The bonus tracks include the non-album B-side It's So Easy (one of my favorite uses of the Mellotron choir) and the single edit/mix of Paradox (which at least pushes Dave Brock's guitar solo to the fore...it was buried on the album mix). Well worth the cash spent!
