Soften The Glare - Making Faces vinyl lp (due to size and weight, this price for the USA only. Outside of the USA, the price will be adjusted as needed)

SMALL SEAM SPLIT TO SPINE OF JACKET, not too bad, juts not totally perfect This is the vinyl version of STG's 1st album; it has an alternative cover (not shown) and includes some different versions of pieces to the ones on the CD version.

I first heard of STG from my old, old pal, Shawn Persinger (of Boud Deun) who asked me if I had heard guitarist Bon Lozaga's (of Gonzilla & Gong)) new band, because 'I just saw them and they're fantastic'!
So, I kept my ears open and also told Bon (another old friend) we'd love to stock their release when it comes out and here it is!
It's a mostly very hard hitting mix of in your face electric jazz and instrumental prog and some funky basswork.

"Making Faces" the debut CD from Soften The Glare! The band consists of bassist Ryan Martinie (Mudvayne), guitarist Bon Lozaga (Gong, Gongzilla) and drummer Mitch Hull. The album was recorded and produced by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, Scale The Summit).
When Bon and Ryan first met in LA and started talking about getting together to create some music, they didn't know what to expect. Now as Soften The Glare, their music is evolving and constantly changing, bringing in elements from both their worlds and others. Currently their music is headed in an instrumental jazz/rock direction with elements of metal, funk, prog and a touch of chaos! Check it out and decide for yourself!!"

You can hear three songs from the album right here!
