In Conrad Schnitzler's sprawling archive, there are two tapes marked Filmmusik 1975 A and Filmmusik 1980 B. It is hard to say which videos this music belongs to, particularly as the pieces have been left untitled. Perhaps there isn't really any film material at all. Picture Music was Klaus' 3rd album and his first real 'synth' album to my mind. It's also the first album that has 'the Klaus sound' to my ears, even though his first two are also pretty good albums. This was recorded in 1973, but due to legal issues, was not released until 1975 on Brain. This beautiful gatefold digippack has a good, lengthy interview with Klaus about this album specifically. Most importantly, there is a 33' bonus track from the same sessions, which is released here for the very first time!

The first album by Klaus to be released outside of Germany, many people's first encounter with Klaus' monumental solo work began with this album and it's a great one. Highly recommended!

Klaus's seventh album was an album of music for a porno movie from 1977. This is more music created for the soundtrack which, iirc, was released later, and is yet another great CD from the great man of spacey electronics. This is a classic 70's space work & is a pretty necessary title in any collection. This is 4 long tracks that ooze those classic Berlin space sounds and feature Harald Grosskopf on drums, which is always a good thing on any Klaus album.
