This is the two recordings from Ornette's fantastic 1968 tour where he appeared with a unique quartet of Charlie Haden and David Izenson-bass and Ed Blackwell-drums. The Rome concert, which I've had on lp for over 20 years, makes its first appearance on CD to the best of my knowledge, and is one of my very favorite Ornette live concerts (and I have a lot) and is in excellent sound. The second disc, from Milan, is equally great in terms of performance, but is not as good of a recording.
