“Here is both Electric Savage and War Dance have been remastered and released on this excellent BGO double disc at a great price. Previous BGO remasters have been excellent - in the case of a UFO one you knew they'd gone back to the master tapes as there should have been a fade that originally was added when pressing the stamper that wasnt applied to the CD.
However this is about two of the greatest UK jazz rock fusion albums to have been released in the 70's -on a par with Return to Forever, Mahavishnu and our own Brand X.
These and their predecessor Strange New World, are my favourite Gary Moore guitar albums, he's just fabulous throughout, so much so that I can forgive one of the slower vocal tracks. Accompanied by a young and magnificent Don Airey on keys and the ever brilliant Jon Hiseman on drums with John Mole not being too shabby on bass there's much to love about these two mainly instrumental albums. If you are a fan of Gary's guitar playing or Don Airey's keyboard playing and haven't heard thee albums I'd have to say you are missing out. If you are a fan of Jon Hiseman you'll already have these but if you haven't this is a great opportunity to get them.”
