Djam Karet are a southern California quartet using dual guitars, keyboards/electronics, bass & drums. They play interesting & fresh instrumental progressive rock. The band have developed their own sound out of the classic influences of bands such as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Heldon, & others, and are one of the most popular and essential US progressive rock bands.
In September, 1998, the now legendary, then just-beginning Orion showcase series invited Djam Karet to play their first-ever East Coast shows, which were professionally recorded. This incredibly high-energy, live overview of their work up to this point, was the result.
Upon its release, Live At Orion was voted “One of the 100 best independent releases of 1999” by Pulse magazine!
