2013 reissue on Andy Partridge's very own Ape House label. This and Black Sea are the highest points for me, in a career filled with highlights. One of the smartest, best and most distinctive pop bands of their time. Highly recommended. Their fourth album.
Even genius bands usually have one or two really special albums that - even by their genius standards - stand out (and perhaps it is those one or two really special albums that elevate them to genius level in the first place). XTC were a genius level band and, imo this was the first (yes, I think they had more than 1) of their really special albums.
