“With one slight reservation, (I think that) it is terrific throughout, in turn intriguing and mesmerising, beautifully constructed and, all in all, an absolute delight to listen to.
My reservation surrounds the opening vocals on the opening track, Formidabile, which I personally found to be quite discordant and potentially likely to deter the casual listener. But persevere - it's just an (inexplicable) aberration, and, thereafter, the vocals are wholly pleasing throughout. Instrumentally, the album is, as you might imagine with the people involved, little short of top notch. There is no more to be said. A hauntingly beautiful release. Great stuff.”-progarchives
