Refugee - Live in Concert Newcastle City Hall, 1974

SKU 23-VP 421
Decent, listenable, but still very bootleg-quality live recording by this short-lived classical rock trio. If you know and love them, this is worth your nickel, especially as the band plays well and it includes some unreleased material, a good essay and unseen photos. If you don't know them, buy their (only) studio release.
Refugee was the rather short lived progressive rock keyboard power trio of the then unknown Patrick Moraz on a gigantic assortment of keyboards along with the two 'refugees' from The Nice, Lee Jackson on bass and vocals and Brian Davison on drums. Despite this fine start, the band was not to exist more than a year because shortly after a small tour, Patrick got tapped to join Yes, which he did for the Relayer album and tour.
