Porte Non Aperte - Golem CD

SKU 33-Maracash 151
Le Porte Non Aperte (The Unopened Doors) are a young, retro-progressive rock band from Italy who are making their debut here with this very strong release.

The group is a quintet of Sandro Parrinello - vocals, Filippo Mattioli - organ, keyboards, Jacopo Fallai - guitars, Marco Brenzini - flute, Giulio Sieni - drums. Wonderful organ/flute/guitar passages, everyone plays very strongly and Sandro has a pleasing, lower pitched voice, so he definitely isn't one of those 'balls being squeezed' singers.

If there was still a NEARFest, these guys would be a shoe-in for an appearance. But there isn't a NF, so make sure that this appears in your CD player!

"Between free will and the condition of being forced, this record tells the dream of a man, a king of his own existence, who is to lose control of his ego, forced in front of a series of choices already made for him, leading him to question its logic and reason of its nature. Inspired by the manifesto of the unpredictable (a small Tuscan anarchist movement of intellectuals of the 60s - 70s), "Golem" is also a concept album about unpredictability. The band's influences are classic Italian proggers of the 70s: PFM - Premiata Forneria Marconi, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Il Balletto di Bronzo, Biglietto per l'Inferno above all)."
