After leaving Fairport, Sandy Denny joined up with Trevor Lucas, Jerry Donahue, Pat Donaldson and Gerry Conway and recorded just one album, the beautiful, self-titled debut. It's considered one of the greatest releases of British folk-rock, but the band fell apart pretty quickly. Now comes this amazing discovery which has never even been hinted at!

"On Friday, October 23, 1970, they had a gig at the third Essen Pop & Blues festival in the Gruga Hall. The concert was then recorded semi-...

"In 1971, Freak Out from Knittelfeld in Austria, named after the first Mothers of Invention LP, released the 7" single "Jaming brother" / "Crazy colours of life" (Cosmos 2234) and the LP "Life" (Cosmos 2235), both in a small circulation of around 200...

“Gäa from the German state of Saarland have become quite known in collectors’ circles thanks to their LP "Auf der Bahn zum Uranus" from 1974.
In early 1975 they recorded three tracks for a unfinished second album. These tracks [over 20’] are simply brilliant and show how mature and inventive the band was at that time. The tracks have been rediscovered only recently and form the heart a

"The Saarland band Gaa played German-language progressive rock. Their band name derives from the ancient Greek gods, where Gaia (Latin notation: Gaa) is the goddess of the earth and fertility. The group's only LP, Auf der Bahn zum Uranus, was a short run released on the Kerston label in 1974 and is today sold at about 600 euros. It is a mature and well-balanced album, the artistic value of which long remained undiscovered. The tasteful cover was designed by Eduard Bell, the brother of Gaa bassist Peter...

"Galaxy from Bremen played a keyboard-dominated sort of art-rock. There are people who have called them 'the better Eloy', which is not quite unfounded. Although there were bands they admired, like Yes and Jethro Tull, they wanted to develop a style of their own. Founded in 1976, when the time came in 1979 to begin university studies, they wanted to document their 3 years of work, and they recorded this, their one and only album. "There were enough good original compositions at their disposal. Given the...

This was recorded with Vuh leader Florian Fricke & Daniel Fichelscher (Popol Vuh and Amon Duul II), & is much in the style of the great, mid 70's Vuh CDs.

Brand new, ultimate Garden Of Delight reissue of this classic, early German prog album from 1971, originally released on BASF. Pretty much universally agreed upon as a must-own classic!

"Here's a long time krautrock classic. Gila impress us with a dynamic, intense and imaginative communication between spacey rock improvisations, lengthy psych guitar solos accompanied by luminous electric organ chords. "Agression" is a cosmic krautrock jamming, strictly instrumental (as the rest of the album)...

Ultimate Garden Of Delight reissue of this classic, early German prog album from 1971, sometimes also known as ‘Free Electric Sound’ and originally released on BASF. Gila released only 2 albums in their short lifetime; their s/t 1st aka Free Electric Sound and Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee.
This is a extraordinarily valuable archival release of an excellent quality, previously unreleased, live '72 concert by the original line up of Gila, & featuring all previously unheard material in the style of their excellent, freaky, psychedelic first

An excellent sounding period recording from their 10/25/70 performance at the Essen Pop & Blues Festival. This is just after their great 1st album UFO was released, and captures them at an early, heady peak; imagine the furthest out that a power trio could've gone at this time and with the equipment available, and you have Guru Guru as heard here.
This is by the original trio: Ax Genrich, Mani Neumeier and Uli Trepte. Magnificent!

Really good (not professional, but genuinely very good) quality live album recorded November 4, 1972. This is recorded just after the band's peak, as Ulli Trepte has left and Bruno Schaab (a fine player) is his replacement here, but the repertoire is still all taken from the 1st 3 albums, with really long versions of Oxymoron, Baby Cake Walk and Ooga Booga. Ax Genrich and Mani Neumeier play great as always. Not as essential as they once were, as this feels a little tentative, but it's still a great...

"Guru Guru played in the Wartburg, a Wiesbaden hall, on September 17th, 1973. It was one of the gigs recorded by Xhol (Caravan) acquaintance Muck Krieger. His recording equipment was then state-of-the-art: an Uher tape recorder CR 124 and two Revox...

An extremely rare 1974 jazz/rock album featuring saxes, keyboards, guitar, bass and drums that I had never even heard of before. In addition to the original album, almost 40' of unreleased live stuff has been added in. The live stuff is only of pretty....

"Kalacakra's blend of mantras, blues, folk and stoned psychedelia gained Crawling To.

Roland Kovac-piano, Brian Auger-organ (!), Siggi Schwabb-guitar, Peter Trunk (Passport)-bass and Keith Forsey-drums.

Recorded in 1972, this is very good, fusion/jazzy/jammy type stuff, maybe comparable to Embryo's two Brain albums, with some really great and surprisingly outside organ work by Auguer.

"Roland Kovac New Set was the name of a group of Munich studio musicians who recorded several lps of instrumental music on the Selected Sound label from Hamburg. The 2nd and 3rd (this) of...

"Langsyne from Barmen played some sophisticated English-language psych-folk with a large variety of partly exotic instruments like the psaltery, koto, glockenspiel, banjo, flute, slide guitar, or the Jew's harp. Their only LP was released in 1976, as...

"Magma were a rock duo from Gelsenkirchen. They were playing only on organ and drums like Hardin & York or Hansson & Karlsson.
Their only LP, which turned up very late with collectors, was released in 1975 (Elrec 1026). On this CD you can find five bonus tracks, all of them never released before. The four first ones had been performed live, the last one was recorded at the studio.
Magma, having a lot of gigs

James Black (guitar, vocals), Reid Hudson (bass), Tony Newman (drums).

"May Blitz have been compared to Led Zeppelin, the early Black Sabbath, or the early Uriah Heep. The only difference being that May Blitz never had their great breakthrough...

"The six musicians from Oberhausen released their only LP in 1978. Symphonic rock. The LP "Fly away" was released in two different covers: initially (and that’s the version of this CD) with the legendary bull-headed creature from ancient Crete and, subsequently, with a rather plain airplane. The overall circulation was 1000 copies. The six musicians from Oberhausen played symphonic rock in the style of early Genesis or Yes, which, at a time when punk rock hit the scene, was a bit outdated and bound to...

"Mirkwood were from Dover, Kent, in England. They played progressive rock with two guitars and a thought-provoking text. They owed not only to their musical abilities, but also to their capacity of transforming new ideas into music that they were among the leading bands in Kent.
Their one and only LP (Flams Ltd. PR 1067) was recorded on 17 January 1973. It still was released in the very same year in a number of only 99 pieces. Thus, today it is worth about 1000€ when in mint condition. New legal...

Previously unreleased live concert in fantastic sound, recorded September 2, 1974 by Radio Bremen. Missus Beastly went through a lot of stylistic and personnel changes during their career, and this set of very, very good and much more 'out' jazz/rock doesn't resemble anything else in their oeuvre.
With Eddy Maron-guitar (fresh from Dzyan), Jurgen Benz-saxes, Friedemann Josch-flute, Norbert Domling-bass and Lutz Oldemeier-drums.

Very long awaited, first-ever CD release of the third Missus Beastly album. After their great, self-titled, Gorilla-adorned, Germany jazz/rock classic second album, there were a lot of changes in personnel, with more and more overlap with the musicians of Embryo, but the quality of the band and their work remained high.

"Dr. Aftershave and the mixed-pickles” was Missus Beastly’s third album, which once more presented some mostly instrumental, solid jazz rock. It was at the same time the first...

"Dr. Aftershave and the Mixed-Pickles was Missus Beastlys third album, which once more presented some mostly instrumental, solid jazz rock. It was at the same time the first album to be released.

This is a GREAT jazz-rock album from 1974, with a line-up that includes two reeds, keyboards (who plays some positively fantastic, very McCoy Tyner-ish piano work!), bass and drums. Highly recommended.

"Their second one (1974), with the gorilla cover, originally released on the Nova label. Instrumental jazz-rock with flute and saxophone. The first vinyl re-issue of the real Missus Beastly's second LP has now been released, taken from the master tapes. It comes with an 8-page insert in LP size....

Fourth and final release by Missus Beastly, reissued here for the very first time; until Garden Of Delights announced this one, I wasn't actually aware it existed!

"An inventive progressive fusion band, with a notable debt to Kraan, Aera and nods to Munju, Missus Beastly and Secret Oyster."-The Crack In The Cosmic Egg

"Morpheus from the Warburg and Kassel area played instrumental jazz-rock, also called fusion. They released their only LP ”Rabenteuer”, which is meanwhile very expensive, in 1976.
They re-united again later, and in 2002 they performed at the well-known Herzberg festival, almost with the original line-up. Their very relaxed CD, ”For a...

"Out of Focus from Munich released three LPs during their lifetime. Their last one was a double LP which was done after they had toured in Italy, a musical journey which had been sponsored by the Goethe Institute. The gigs had been recorded on an...

For their 3rd and final album, Out Of Focus added many musicians on reeds and brass, in addition to their usual guitar, organ, sax, bass, drums lineup. This record, the well known "Four Letter Monday Afternoon", was released as a double album, but...

"P2O5, founded in Wendelstein near Nuremberg in 1970, released their only LP in 1978 on the Brutkasten label which is today in high demand. There is to be heard hard rock with progressive elements and English lyrics. The Brutkasten studio was only...

"Pancake from Winnenden near Stuttgart in Suabia emerged from their psychedelic predecessor Nyrvana Pancake in 1974 and now played progressive rock with clear symphonic tendencies. With changing members they released three LPs with self-written tracks...

"Panko from West Berlin - not to be confused with the much later GDR band Pankow - are somewhat reminiscent of Xhol Caravan or the early Embryo. They mostly presented long jazzy instrumental passages dominated by the transverse flute and alto saxophone, temporarily interrupted by mainly English vocals and some follies.

The band existed from the late sixties until the end of 1972. During their lifetime, the group didn't release anything, although they would have had the potential to do so....

“Pentagon was the first group on the small Munich label German Blues and Underground, which later on also released the two Siloah records. Their 7” single was supposed to be followed by an LP, but it never got beyond the dubplate/acetate stage! A music cassette, however, was released, the simple cover of which was used for the LP cover, too.
Although very
