Quite a shocking thing to see emerge 40 years later. This is the fairly short-lived, African/jazz-influenced follow-up group that Ginger had after Cream and Blind Faith. Recorded for Beat Club, like the great Weather Report release, this features the....

Pretty funny to see a documentary on this little-discussed but truly eye-opening period of the Beach Boys' career.

Beardfish have come a very, very long way from their Swedish-only, very Zappa-like, self-released albums to being signed to one of the larger/more visible progressive rock-oriented labels. This is their sixth album and they continue to somehow manage...

Obviously, this is limited in terms of what it can offer with just one hour of footage, but this is the only film footage that I know of of the real, original, fascinating 'no wave' era of downtown NYC, circa 1979. This is a dual-sided DVD in both NTSC...

I dunno. I always thought Big Brother got a bum rap. Were they the best San Francisco band? No. Were they the best musicians of that scene? No. But they were fun and joyous and genuinely psychedelic and whoever it was that dragged Janis away from them...

This very nice DVD spotlights the brief reign of this star-crossed, pivotal San Francisco psychedelic band, who were quite cool in a truly psychedelic, 1967 way, but who had the fortune of a star-singer as a integrated member of the band, and the mis-f...

Iva is a wonderful musician, singer and composer and her early experiences as an actress make her a superlative performer. I have been lucky enough to see her live 3 times, but many folks can't, so in it's place is this DVD. Highly recommended.

This isn't the best place to start with, if you don't know Iva Bittova, but I know we have a few hard-core Iva fans here and this very hard to find DVD set has some very different type of work from her.

"This specially packaged 2 DVD set...

A rare chance to see the Carla Bley band in performance in July, 1983. This one hour long set features a 10 piece band performing her challenging yet beautiful works. Carla is more 'notorious' than famous and I don't really understand why; she's one of...

Wow! An official release of video material by this excellent but star-crossed 60s band. "Their debut gig was in front of a cool 100,000 people on a warm day in London's Hyde Park on June 7, 1969. This free concert may have lasted just over 45 minutes...

I'm a huge Jack fan and I found this fascinating and wonderful, as it's from his early prime as a solo artist and just after his world-wide fame with Cream. But it is a documentary and not a concert film.

"Born amid the slums of Glasgow, known...

Something a little different, as this is a documentary/instructional/ performanace release, but we love Jack so much that we wanted to have a few on hand. "Jack teams up with legendary guitarist Gary Moore and powerhouse drummer Gary Husband to revisit...
