"Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, DC (1980-90)..

Out of print, last copies!! One of my favorite modern progrock bands is this fine, UK quartet who grew out of the Antique Seeking Nuns - a band with the exact same personnel, but a slightly different sound and who are another favorite.

This excellent quality live album and DVD was recorded at the Majestic Theater, Gettysburg on Sunday May 6th 2012. On it, the band perform pieces from their first album, Diving Bell, as well as a good number of pieces by the Nuns. Totally top notch...

Dig It was Klaus' first all-digital album, originally released in 1980, hence the clever/goofy title.
A lot of people were pretty upset to see the analog synths go, and I I don't blame them; I was sorry to see them go too. But if you actually listen to this album, it is completely and utterly within the realm and style of his very best work.
While this has always been a good work by Klaus, this is a very special reissue, as it includes a new interview with Klaus specifically about this album...

"While other musicians mostly vary their repertoire with nuances, every Klaus Schulze performance is hard to predict. His former bandmate Edgar Froese (Tangerine Dream) once needed a nice image when describing his way of improvising on stage with...

"We forge our personal connections with music based on any number of (sometimes random-seeming) factors, but often it's just a matter of time and place. I can still remember the afternoon I stumbled into the listening station at my local music retailer...

Section 25 were a cool Factory band that I remember seeing around 1982 and really enjoying in a weird-o, art-punk kinda way; amazing to see a DVD of them emerge...they were pretty obscure. "This DVD gathers together rare live and studio footage from...

Note: This video is a documentary and is all in French. Even so, there are a lot of amazing musical excerpts and for the already commited Yochk'o fan, this is a no brainer purchase.

This is the definitely the first time that a Rune Grammofon-related band or a jazz-related band have compared themselves to KISS! (see below).

"Sigur Rós gave a dozen film makers the same modest budget and asked them to create whatever came into their head when they listened to songs from the band's album Valtari. All 16 Valtari films are collected together for a DVD known as the Valtari Film Experiment. This DVD release includes all 14 films commissioned by the band, alongside the two winning entries from the parallel public competition; no one could have predicted the strange and beguiling mix of visual delights that would result from this...

The Martian Chronicles, released by the Hungarian group Solaris in 1984, is the most acclaimed progressive rock release ever from Hungary.

"Formed in London in 1968, Spooky Tooth were one of the most original and imaginative rock bands of their era. Between 1968 and 1974 they recorded a series of albums that have now rightly become regarded as classics of the genre.
